Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day
I cannot quite believe Ladies Day at Cheltenham was a whole week ago, and what a day it turned out to be.
I must say that I think last Wednesday has to be up there with some of the best days racing that I have experienced. Not only was the sun shining, and the company was great but I also won a MINI!!!
Yes you read that correctly I won a MINI, not just a MINI for a year but a MINI to keep for life in the #ColourmemarchWOW competition. I literally could not believe it when I saw my number appear on the big screen with a photo of a MINI next to it.
So let's talk about the outfit that got the 'WOW' Factor.
When I knew that I would definitely be attending ladies day, ( As I have previously explained being the Fiance of a racehorse trainer days out to the races are never planned too far in advance), I called my saving grace Jenny Roberts to see if she could send me some pictures of what she had available.
I explained to Jenny that Cheltenham Ladies day is now all about colour, so my hat would need to be bold, this is when I received this picture.
I knew this ruby fur felt pillbox with leather flowers was definitely the hat for me, the attention to detail in the leather flowers was fantastic.
The next mission was to find the perfect outfit to match.
Anyone who knows me knows that Scott & I love a bargain, and there is nothing better than finding a 'gem' on eBay. After scouring the internet I managed to find a vintage Moschino coat with large buttons and ruffles on the collar.
I could not believe my luck when the hat and coat arrived and were a perfect colour match, anyone would have thought the hat had been made to match the coat.
I wore a red Versace dress which I have owned for at least 10 years, and which has seen many trip's to the races including Royal Ascot and Ladies day at Newmarket.
The Finishing Touches
Ted Baker Leather Gloves , Wolford Tights, Carvela Alice Court Shoes, |
Ted Baker black leather gloves with gold bows, my trusty Chanel bag. Carvela Kurt Geiger Alice court shoes which faded from red to black, and to finish the outfit off some nearly black Wolford tights. (Wolford are currently offering 20% discount on two or more pairs of tights)

As I walked around the course it was clear to see the level of fashion on display was sublime. Una O’Farrell took the honours for Best Dressed Ladies Competition with her stunning navy outfit, which secured her with some amazing prizes including an Yvette Jelfs hat, Boodles Diamond necklace and a Holland and Cooper coat.
Below are some of my favourite outfits from the festival.
My favourite fashion designer from the week has to be Catriona Hanly Fashion, Rachel Hawkins and Milliner Cara Meehan were seen wearing some fantastic coloured tweed creations seen below.
Cheltenham Ladies day really got me into the racing spirit, I am still in shock that I won the MINI as I never win anything. What an amazing start to our wedding year, and I cannot wait for the Turf season to start at Doncaster on 1st April.
If you are attending the Dubai World Cup this weekend have an amazing time it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
