Crimbourne Stud and The Qatar Goodwood Festival
My Glorious Goodwood fever began to kick in at least one week prior to this years Qatar Goodwood Festival. Walking around with my head in the clouds imagining what fashion delights would be on display this year, I was like a child full of excitement waiting for Christmas.
Royalty, Celebrities and Fashionista' a-like descend upon the magical Sussex downs year upon year. From stunning model and Bear Grylls survivor Vogue Williams helping the equally stylish Gina Harding, to present the fashion on Channel 4, to Princes Eugenie presenting the Magnolia Cup - and of course not forgetting one of the most handsome men in racing - Micheal Owen gracing the parade ring each day, this year did not disappoint.

Prior to heading off to Goodwood for day one - we were lucky enough to be invited to the beautiful Crimbourne Stud - home of the lovely Lady Marlene Parker and the much missed, loved and revered Sir Eric who sadly passed away last year. It was a real celebration of the love and passion the Parker family place into their breeding and racing - the horses all were beautifully presented, and I am sure they will have a record breaking sales season. Champagne and Pimms flowed, with a lively atmosphere, it was a perfect start to the Goodwood week.
The weather on Tuesday was pretty dire, cold and showery. Fortunately we managed to reserve a table in the Seafood restaurant adjacent to the parade ring.

With a great view of the paddock and the big screen television through the glass enclosure, and copious amounts of delicious seafood we were set to spend our first day mainly inside.
Lizzie Hughes had kindly provided me with a beautiful Dawn Guibert hat with particularly pretty hand made pink silk flowers, which I wore with a nude long sleeved Paloa dress which was perfect for the weather. Christian Louboutin nude heals and a fun Aldo Paris box clutch.
Owners Jim Wylam & James Mac Millan arrived at Goodwood just in time to meet us in the parade ring to watch Dr Red Eye in the 5:30. It is such a wonderful experience for owners to have a runner at Glorious Goodwood, and every race is extremely tough to win, so the main priority for Scott was that he made it home safe and sound.
Following a quick catch up with Jim & James, we retired back to our farmhouse nearby set amongst the downs for a BBQ.
Not even our infamous Summer weather could dampen and dull the sparkle on day one, and I can only imagine that everyone else who attended felt the same. I feel that each day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival deserves a separate post as each day was packed with so many fantastic memories.
