Q&A With Carla Kyle
With less than 24hrs until Goodwood Racecourse opens its gates for the first day of Glorious Goodwood, I thought it would be nice to introduce my readers to Carla Kyle.
Carla is not only a former model and fashion stylist, she is also the founder and designer of Glitterati Polo, a super stylish mother of 3 and wife to Jeremy Kyle. So I thought it would be great to find a little more out about Carla and her tips for dressing for the races.
CARLA KYLE

Tell us a little bit about you and your brand, and how you got into styling...
Fashion has always been important to me, I worked as a fittings model before starting my family, learnt what worked & what didn't , began styling people through word of mouth then professionally. Then through playing polo launched my own brand Glitterati Polo on the back of everything I'd experienced over the years. I still continue to style the clients I've built up over the years, but I love being on the creative side of fashion now.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm a girls girl, I love Fashion, like most people I just want to be unique in what i do , Glitterati Polo is clothing brand for girls in Polo, its a very male dominated sport, I wanted to bring an edgy fashion brand into the sport with a touch of sparkle for players & non players
The fashion industry is notoriously competitive – how did you manage to differentiate yourself and your work?
I don't believe in Forcing a style or a look onto anybody, I work with people to maximise the look they want to achieve & try to give inspiration. I'll just advise what i think suits them
Who were your fashion inspirations when you started out? And who is your style icon now?
Ever since I was a little girl I looked to my mother for inspiration she always looked so well groomed whatever she wore, I get inspiration everywhere. I don't have a style icon I just appreciate anyone who has the ability to look confident in their clothes
