2016 Highlights

2016 is well and truly over, and what a year it turned out to be.

The year started out in fine style with a trip to Morzine to celebrate the wedding of long standing friends Rachel and Nick. It was such a fantastic opportunity to spend a week with friends that we don't normally get a chance to catch up with. ( Read the full blog post here )

2016 was also the year that Scott whisked me away on a romantic two week holiday to the Dominican Republic, this is where he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!!

When we returned the Crown Hotel in Bawtry hosted an incredible Engagement party for us and it was now time to choose my Bridesmaid Squad.

I do have to say they are a fantastic bunch of girls and are going to look stunning on our wedding day definitely squad goals!!

As always one of my favourite times of the year is seeing all of the wonderful foals return home from stud.

The yard suffered a virus which meant 2016 was not a great year for runners, although we still managed to pick up 18 wins and 102 placings throughout the year, and had some fabulous days racing with our incredible owners.

We enjoyed a one day spectacular at Royal Ascot with owners John and Carolyn Radford.

Glorious Goodwood was as glorious as ever and I was given the honour of wearing the Spode Blue Italian 200 year anniversary hat made by Jenny Roberts millinery.

This hat was by far the most amazing piece of millinery I have ever worn, and rightfully was pictured on the front page of the Times newspaper.  (Click Here to catch up on #Spodeblue200 )

After lot's of deliberation and a trip to London I finally said Yes To The Dress in Pronovias but you will have to wait until August to find out more about that trip!

2016 also saw my cousin Katie and my close friend Rebecca marry the men of their dreams, in two fabulous weddings and two of our best friends turned the big 30.

2016 was a year of highs and lows but we definitely made some lovely memories and made some forever friends especially with the addition of two highland cows to the family as I am sure all of my instagram followers have fallen in love with.

2017 is the year that I become Mrs Dixon and Scott turns 30 I cannot wait, my blog will also be taking a new twist and we have lot's of exciting un-raced horses to look forward to including the Jilly Cooper syndicate horse Love Rat

From myself and everyone at Scott Dixon Racing I hope 2017 bring you lot's of wonderful memories.

Who knows what 2017 will hold for us but I sure am excited!

With Love
