Horsing Around At The White Horse Inn OOTD

White Horse Inn

Life is never dull being the girlfriend of a Racehorse trainer. You never know where you are going to be at any given time. The most concrete plans are always subject to change whether it be a change in the weather or a last minute injury, unless the horse is on the horsebox ready to leave, you still do not know for definite, where or if the horse is running. Even when you are at the racecourse, Scott can still change his mind and pull the horse out of the race.

This Saturday I was already at work, and under the impression that both of Scott's horses, which was declared for Doncaster races would not run due to the going, (Going means ground conditions) when I received a phone call from Scott to say he had changed his mind, as the going had changed to Good to Firm. The horse would now definitely run in the 2:05 at Doncaster Racecourse. Luckily I had the perfect outfit ready, that I had not worn in Paris, which I could not wait to wear. Unfortunately the ground had not dried up quite enough, and our horse finished in fourth place. The owners were delighted as it was still a very promising run, and they were now in a great mood for an afternoon of racing, followed by live music from Eighties musical icons Spandau Ballet. Scott and I did not stay for Spandau Ballet, as he had to make sure the horse got home safely. We treated ourselves to a bite to eat  at our local The White Horse Inn, Barnby Moor, before watching England beating France at rugby.

Horse Racing Pub
A lot of our owners frequent The White Horse Inn on a weekend, the food is delightful and and the racing is always on show in the sports room. It is most definitely worth a visit.

The White Horse had recently commissioned some new art work on the exterior of the building, and I couldn't help myself from horsing around with them.

Striped Skirt

striped skirt

I fell in love with this high-waisted voluminous skirt from Topshop weeks ago, and felt it would be perfect for my recent trip to Paris.  Perfect when styled with clean lines to balance the bold stripes in this midi skirt.  I adore outfits that can be transformed just  add a fun pop of color or by changing your accessories, creating a chic alternative to this feminine outfit. How could I not complete this look with my gorgeous Chanel bag and classic Christian Louboutin heels!
