Casual Evening At The Races

Contrary to most beliefs horse racing does not always have to be all out glamour. I love finishing work early on a summers evening and heading over to Southwell or Doncaster Racecourse to enjoy an evening meet. I am lucky that both of these courses are only a thirty minute drive from my place of work. With both courses offering a meal for owners and trainers. What better way to spend an evening, than sat outside in the sunshine drink in hand, watching the horses run with fantastic company. You never know, you may even get the added bonus of a glass of bubbles, if one of the horses are victorious.

What I Wore

Blue Vanilla kindly sent me the Tribal Elephant vest top (pictured above) which can be worn casually with jeans or alternatively tucked into a skirt or shorts. I love the added detailing of the zip up the back just breaks up the patterns giving that extra edge. This top would be a great piece for upcoming festivals, as the material glides over the body ensuring it would keep you cool in the sweltering heat. Blue Vanilla have some fantastic pieces, from vest tops and dresses to coats and jeans, you will be able to find an outfit fit for every occasion.
