Day 2 Glorious Goodwood

After a fantastic meal at the Kennels last night, and a promising run from Threes Grand in the 5f sprint, we were ready to do it all again. The conversation in the taxi was mainly about the duel on the downs and who would or wouldn't be playing at the ball in the evening, as we had heard rumors of the Police which would have been incredible.....

Piceno was set to run for the Ontoawinner racing syndicate but the ground had dried up and the decision was made to save him for another day.

Today I was wearing another vintage Mazi hat kindly on loan from Scotts mum Yvette's extensive hat collection (I think her hat room definitely deserves a blog post all to itself). My dress was on loan from Catherine Deane shoes Martini Osaldo - Bracelet - Gemporia Handbag Lk Bennett, topped off by Aquamarine earring which were a Christmas present from Scott.

The highlight of the day had to be the duel on the downs. With talk around the course as to whether Toranado would beat Kingman. The race definitely did not disappoint and just when you thought Toranado had it in the bag Kingman came flying past like a rocket to take the lead storming to victory.

After a spectacular day of exhilarating racing, the fun was not over. It was now time to head back for a quick change ready for the Regency ball at Goodwood House.

Catherine Deane had kindly loaned me a dress for the evening which was constructed of Leather and Lace, teamed with Christian Louboutin shoes and a Prada Clutch bag I was ready for action.

The ball definitely lived up to the hype, what more could you want than to spend time with friends new and old, whilst listening to Beverley Knight sing live in the marquee followed by a fantastic DJ. Although I am sure there were a few sore heads on thursday.

It was a fantastic evening and I am sure everyone who attended is already counting down the days until next year.
