Wimbledon Whites Fit For The Races

With the Newmarket July Festival and Glorious Goodwood fast approaching, this week is the perfect excuse to take inspiration from the world-famous tournament.

So I thought I would treat all of my readers to an edit of outfits influenced by Wimbledon whites. Take one standout white dress and pair with knockout accessories for a Grand Slam look.

Below are some examples of Racegoers who got it all white!

3 simple fashion rules on how to wear your LWD (little white dress).

  1. The most important thing to remember is to be a little careful while eating or drinking when wearing anything white because a small little tiny stain will show horribly on your outfit. Apart from that, whatever you wear with your white dress will really stand out. So remember, less is more when it comes to the LWD.

  2. White is sheer and transparent. So, beware of extremely thin white material as it can become see-through. Make sure you wear a white satin slip and either white or nude undergarments when wearing a white dress. Also, choose the right shade of white that suits your skin tone the most. For example, if you have pale complexion – luminous white might suit you better. If you are tanned, you should go for something slightly off-white or creamy.

  3. Make a fun statement by teaming up your little white dress with some pop of colour. Colourful, chunky necklaces and bright heels can make you standout. Carry a colored handbag that will draw attention. Bring an eclectic vibe to your white dress with a metallic be or add some matching patterns with your little white dress. You can also pair up your LWD with a colorful patterned scarf or shawl. Make sure not to add more than one patterned accessory to your white dress, as it will look too overpowering. Red Lipstick can also take you places when teamed up with a white dress.
